Who this is

Snyder Story Co. is a photography business owned and operated by Jesse Snyder in York County, Pennsylvania. You can reach me at Jesse@snyderstoryco.com or (717) 817-0709.

What I collect

When you contact me or book a session:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• Details you choose to share about your family or your project
• Session date, time, and location
• Signed agreements and permissions
• Payment records, though card numbers are handled by my payment processor and are never stored by me

When you visit this website:

• Pages you view and how long you spend on them
• How you arrived, such as a search engine, an advertisement, or a link
• General device and browser information
• Approximate location, at the city level, from your IP address
• Anonymised recordings of mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling

The tools this website uses

I use a small number of third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy, linked below.

Snyder Story Co. previously used Sprout Studio for booking and galleries. It was replaced by HoneyBook in September 2026 and is no longer used.

Cookies

The tools above use cookies and similar technologies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings, and blocking them will not stop you from using this website or booking a session.

You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's browser add-on, and out of Microsoft Clarity through Microsoft's opt-out page.

Photographs

Photographs from your session are stored on my computer, on backup drives, and in your private online gallery. Galleries are private and reachable only by the link I send you.

I use photographs in my portfolio, on this website, in marketing, and on social media only with your written permission. That permission is collected separately from your session agreement, and it offers three choices: full permission, adults only, or no promotional use at all. Declining costs you nothing and changes nothing about your session.

You may withdraw that permission at any time by writing to me. I will remove the images from this website and my social media within a reasonable time. Materials already printed or distributed cannot be recalled.

Children

This website is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen.

Photographs of children are different, and I hold myself to a stricter standard than the law requires. No image of a child is ever published without a parent or guardian's recorded written permission. I do not publish children's names, family surnames, home addresses, or the specific location of a session alongside an image without asking first.

If you are a parent and you want an image of your child removed, write to me and it comes down. No explanation needed.

How long I keep things

• Online galleries stay active for at least 90 days after delivery. Download your images promptly and back them up.
• Original photograph files are archived for at least one year, and often much longer.
• Contracts, releases, and payment records are kept as long as required for tax and legal purposes.
• Website analytics follow each provider's own retention period.

What I will never do

• Sell your personal information to anyone
• Publish a photograph of your child without your recorded permission
• Share your contact details with other businesses for their marketing
• Publish your address or the specific location of your session without asking

Your choices

Write to me at Jesse@snyderstoryco.com and I will, within a reasonable time: tell you what information I hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete what I am not legally required to keep, remove your images from my website and social media, or stop contacting you entirely.

Changes

If this policy changes I will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting current clients will be communicated directly.
